Prayers for Coach Daniel

LHS Men's Soccer Family, As you spend time today celebrating Thanksgiving with your families, please keep coach Daniel's family in your prayers as they mourn the passing of his Grandmother, Gert Chaney. For those of you who don't know them the Chaney family is somewhat of "the First Family of Soccer" here in Lafayette. She and her husband Lynn were widely known for their sports photography business taking thousands of pictures of our local soccer players. But most of all Gert was widely know for her unwavering support for her soccer players. Ever the fixture on the sidelines screaming passionately for the team to pass the ball to her son David and later to her Grandson Daniel as he played for the Lions. Gert and her husband Lynn were strong supporters of our program and their Daughter Pamela who was our booster club president Daniel's senior year. As coaches we will never forget Gert's passionate support and her frequent post game "critical analysis" of our coaching and Daniel's on field performance. Good or bad she was usually spot on. As far as I can recall she and Lynn never missed a game no matter how far we travelled. Again on this special holiday, please keep Coach Daniel's family in your prayers and remember what is most important. Love your family as or time in this world is precious. Coach Jeremy
